The Premium Economy Class is a total enhancement from the Economy Class Experience. The  cabin is a spacious and cosy cabin of 26 to 34 seats. It is designed to give more comfort, space and personal attention throughout the entire journey with dedicated check-in counters, an increased baggage allowance and priority boarding.

Economy class - better than ever experience beginning with the seat

The new economy class is designed to make the economy class travel experience better than ever. The seat’s cradle mechanism offers more living space and greater recline (6in) for resting and sleeping while giving more space around the shin area when the passenger in front reclines.The headrest with side wings adjusts four ways to give maximum support for the head and neck. And there is much more legroom to really stretch out.

It’s nice to have personal things close at hand, so more storage options have been added. Books and magazines can be put in the literature pocket. Keep mobile phone, pen and glasses in the new amenity storage. And coat or sweater can be hang on the coat hook. The cup holder is always available without lowering the tray table, and the bifold design lets its use it be either half-size or full size.

An award-winning StudioCX entertainment system with Audio and Video on Demand looks especially good on the touch-screen monitor of the 9-inch Personal TV. And iPod, iPhone or iPad* can be connected to stream own music and movies to the screen. There’s a USB port to charge mobile devices, and a 110V AC power supply for laptop computer and other electronic devices.

Cathay Pacific's AVOD (Audio/Video On Demand) system offers more than 100 movies, 500 TV programmes, 888 CDs and 22 radio channels to all passengers on the aircraft. Our new cabin designs with this enhanced in-flight entertainment are available on all long-haul aircraft. All passengers can also enjoy AVOD service on all long-haul aircraft. Movies are available with alternative soundtracks in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, French, Italian or German; TV programmes are broadcast in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese and Hindi respectively.
