Effective 01st June 2019, IATA will implement major changes in Resolution 830D Reservation Procedures.
We will require to collect customer contact information (mobile and email address) and ensure this is made available to airlines in the PNR for the purpose of airlines to contact passengers during flight disruptions.
Where the passenger does not wish to share contact information, the Agent must actively advise the passenger that they may not receive information from the airline relating to flight cancellation or schedule changes (including delay in departure). This new standard ensures that the customer has access to relevant and useful information in an operational disruption where changes within 72h before departure do not come through to the GDS.
